Black Ops 4 – We took a beating in beta testing

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will have another round of testing in September

Marcelo Jabulas | GameCoin Newsroom – More certain that two plus two equals four is the certainty that every year we have a new edition of Call of Duty on the market. On October 12, Activision is releasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

It is the latest installment in the series parallel to the original franchise, focusing on secret, behind-the-scenes missions. If the first three games combined campaigns and online modes, the new title does not care about narration and is fully multiplayer.

Last week, Activision promoted the second battery of beta tests. It was possible to see in practice how the game will be. For this test, some game modes have been released.

Matches with teams of eight to 12 players, in which the first player to eliminate enemies and complete the mission objective, such as removing an item at the extraction point, wins. A sort of “Steal the Flag” in the style of an American film. The team that wins four rounds wins the game.

gameplay

Black Ops 4 gameplay follows a recipe that has been repeated since Counter-Strike nearly 20 years ago. In Heist mode, the player starts the game with minimal resources, which can be acquired with points earned in each round.

The big challenge in online FPS is the skill of the opponents. Admittedly, I was more of a spectator than a player, because the guys are literally quick on the trigger.

Chart

Visually, the game is very well done. The maps offer many paths, elements that can be destroyed, which makes the hunt extremely dynamic. The shadows, smoke, and alternate lighting effects make Black Ops 4 a beautiful game, even if its frantic pace doesn’t let the player enjoy the visuals. In my case, as I was more dead than alive, I could see all the details as my colleagues fought.

Stability

A plus point of the test was the loading speed. Everything ran very smoothly with no crashes or weird bugs, indicating that Activison will maintain a robust server structure as well as a well-finished game.

In September there will be the last test. The game’s Battle Royale mode is expected to come out in this final battery of pre-release testing.

And let’s go again, to catch some more!
